it has been a very long time.

i shot these girls a few months back, a few weeks after burning man.

wow like 4 months ago. where did 2011 go.

i didn’t know what i wanted to do with the images….until yesterday i got inspired.

I love this little miss sassypants…..she is so funny. May I introduce Ry Madison.We met in the park and she told me she was 5, but she is really 3.

I instantly fell in love. I made plans with her mom for an afternoon in the park, keeping my fingers crossed that Ry would be just as sassy as the day we met.

When we met in the park and she did not let me down……actually she was in rare form. When the kids are enjoying themselves and just go with the flow, it makes photographing them so much easier.

That is when 8 out of 10 photos are all keepers…..

I just adore the 6-9 month age for shoots. Just check out this sweet little girl to see why. She was so cute and full of smiles, and loved the camera. Did I mention how chubby she is. The only time in a girl’s life that having thunder thighs is considered cute. At this age, they are able to sit up (but can’t go anywhere) She was so happy to just take in the world around her, which makes for a perfect session!

I know it has been a very long time since i have blogged. I think about it everyday…..it just doesn’t make it on the list of things I must get done…..

This is so sweet…..welcome these newbies to the world…….

Finally I sit at my desk for the past 8 hours catching up on session edits, without getting distracted by the phone or the internet. (well maybe a little).

I stopped to think about why I am so lucky….
I love my what I do.
I truly am inspired by each an every child that stands before my camera.
I relearn things that I had long forgotten all the time.
It’s really nice even if I only see them once a year watch these little people grow up.

This is the first time I’ve photographed “Isabella”, she def. gave me a run for my money, like speedy gonzalez…….
I am happy that we finally did this session…….it was long overdue.

Can you believe in 2 months I will have photographed 10 sets of twins….of all ages…..
Wow.

On Saturday I has a session in the morning. Ziah who was supposed to have a play date, came and assisted me. Now usually this is not a good thing….but with Eleanor it did. They both had such a good time.

I must admit so did I. One of my favorite looks to photograph is blue eyed redheads………both with and without freckles…….

So we played dress up….Ziah showed her how to pose….and we finished the session just before it started to down pour.

i photographed this little boy the other day with him mommy. they were here for the weekend from dallas.  i had so much fun……

eric, is 5 years old, and quite the little man. we shot on the beach which was unbearably hot, then i took them to greynolds park.

originally i was going to photograph them near the ritz carlton on key biscayne. thank g-d i didn’t, otherwise i would of missed out on all these amazing shots in the park.

i will be planning a trip to dallas for a few days, just need to figure out the dates….

end of summer (september) or autumn (november)….maybe both.
