How beautiful. I shot these right before we went to school. well…..we were an hour late to school….it was pouring, and we slept in to cuddle a little bit. How can i say no to that. I love you so much ziah….and i love you in your matilda jane. i know you all think that she cannot take a bad picture…. you are sadly mistaken…. I must threaten her with never taking a photo of her ever again….and then she always gives me the natural face i want.   UNIQUE   We learn to love each other when we begin to realize how truly unique and wonderful each one of us is. Like seashells along the shore, no one is entirely alike, each is crafted with an imprint of God’s hand, each has something to share, and each has something to admire and long for in another. Ziah you are one of a kind. You are unique. You are a beautiful creature. Always show your true colors, and follow your heart.   xoxo sam

so i am trying something new….which do you like better?

Matilda Jane Trunk Show!!! Hi Everyone, I know this is last minute but I hope you can come!!! I just decided to do this today!!!   Bring your friends…:) Samantha I have been wanting to host a Matilda Jane trunk show for a little over a year. For those that aren’t familiar with Matilda Jane, they have the most adorable clothing for babies, girls & women! When: Thursday, June 10th, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. *And because I adore how these clothes photograph, I’m going to be offering FREE mini-sessions to those that spend at least $200 on Matilda Jane clothing at the show. Once the orders arrive, I will determine the specific date & location for the mini-sessions. Things I haven’t thought about in years, like it was yesterday. I am talking about things that happened 20 yrs ago. Childhood is a beautiful time! We don’t really appreciate it till much later. My grandmother told me many years ago “youth is wasting on the young”….Now at 37 I get it ( at 10 yrs old not so much). I think kids should be able to play, not driven around from activity to activity. They need time to imagine, explore….make believe. Be outside. In *my* day, we played until our parents told us to come home for dinner or when it was dark. I know our world is a different place today than when we were young, and this saddens me. Am I just trying to hold on...

Quick peek at a shot from each mini session today at south point, and one i forgot from last week. I had a great time….some beautiful children across the board. Need to sleep….. Post more later this week.
