Back in MIA…...

Sorry I haven’t been blogging, it is just so much work moving everything back in…..why doesn’t it all fit. Getting back on a schedule…. All those great ideas and changes I want to make……harder than I thought. It has been a bit overwhelming…. Coming home after traveling for  6 months is  a mixed-feelings experience. (or 5 different ones) this is the most important thing here….. don’t get bored with your life. change it up…you and only you can make a change. Write down new things that you would like to try- -see that new foreign movie, for example, or  take a bikram yoga class…… Think ahead. For activities that require advance planning, start now, says Dr. Lloyd. If you’ve jotted down “learn French,” for instance, pick up the...

PREPARATION FOR BURNING MAN   I AM SO EXCITED I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I AM GOING TO BURNING MAN.   ZIAH DECIDED THAT THIS SHIRT IS HER NEW DRESS, AND SHE TOO WANTS TO GO TO  “THE PESTIVAL TO MEET BURNING MAN…”   OK….LEAVING TOMORROW FOR VEGAS…THEN ARRIVING FRIDAY AT DAWN. CAN’T WAIT.   Ten Principles of Burning Man (taken from the website) Radical Inclusion Anyone may be a part of Burning Man. We welcome and respect the stranger. No prerequisites exist for participation in our community. Gifting Burning Man is devoted to acts of gift giving. The value of a gift is unconditional. Gifting does not contemplate a return or an exchange for something of equal value. Decommodification In order to preserve the spirit of gifting, our community seeks to create social environments that are unmediated by commercial sponsorships, transactions, or advertising. We stand ready to protect our culture from such exploitation. We resist the substitution of consumption...
